The English Groomers Group has been running since 2004. It is a national group for pet groomers primarily in the UK but attracts followers from all over the world. Their supporters are individuals who take pride in their profession and care greatly about what they do. They continue to strive to learn and improve and take the reputation of their chosen profession very seriously.
The group was formed by a group of friends who would regularly meet to share grooming ideas and help one another. It occurred to them that others would benefit greatly from being able to meet, discuss, share and learn from one another too… and so the English Groomers Group was born and has grown from strength to strength with their Facebook group list growing daily and their events growing larger and ever more popular.
Everything they do is geared specifically to pet groomers with their needs and wants in mind and with a strong and passionate commitment to promoting professionalism within this fast growing industry.
EGG (as it is affectionately known) has three main focuses:
- A Facebook group dedicated to promoting professionalism within our industry, giving support and providing a network with fellow groomers. A chance to ask questions and enhance your knowledge alongside other professional groomers.
- English Groomers Challenge:- a friendly grooming competition that is focused on encouraging competetive grooming in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Plenty of shopping and educational seminars too.
- The Rookie Challenge:- A chance to dip your toe into the wonderful world of competing. No crowds or distraction. A private, reassuring, closed event that offers support and encouragement whilst enhancing your skills without criticism or judgement (other than your judges, of course).
You can check out our future events here as well as on our Facebook group for which a link can be found on the right. You will need to answer all questions fully before being accepted onto the Facebook group as it is for professional groomers and those in training only.
